Richard J. Birch is an associate with a focus on Municipal Law, representing public entities on a variety of issues including Open Public Records Act (“OPRA”) questions, premises liability, zoning and land use, labor relations, and civil rights. Prior to joining the firm, Rich served as a judicial law clerk to The Honorable Mark P. Ciarrocca, Presiding Judge of the Civil Division for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Union Vicinage.

Rich received his B.A. in Politics from The Catholic University of America in 2015. Rich went on to attend Seton Hall University School of Law as a part-time night student and earned his J.D. in 2020. While in law school, Rich was a member of the Executive Board of the Student Bar Association. Rich also served as a judicial extern to The Honorable Douglas E. Arpert, United States Magistrate Judge for the District of New Jersey.
