Dhalia Tejada serves as an Associate on the Labor and Employment team, where she provides comprehensive legal advice to both public and private employers on a range of important issues, including hiring practices, employee discipline, termination processes, family and medical leave, wage-and-hour compliance, and matters related to discrimination and retaliation.
Dhalia earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School in Newark. While in law school, Dhalia Served as Commentaries Editor for the International Law and Human Rights Journal and served as a member of the Minority Student Program (MSP). Dhalia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a dual major in American Government and French Language from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Additionally, Dhalia has enhanced her academic experience through studies at Université de Nantes in France and Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain, where she became proficient in both French and Spanish.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Tejada gained valuable experience as a law clerk for the Honorable John Zunic, P.J.F.P., in the Family and Criminal Divisions of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex Vicinage. While pursuing her legal education, she also served as a legislative aide to the Honorable Anibal Ramos Jr. on the Newark City Council, thereby deepening her insight into municipal and legislative frameworks.
