Alexander Mitchell’s practice areas encompass General Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Municipal Law, Contract Law, and Land Use Law with a focus on assisting public entities obtain compliance with the Amended Fair Housing Act, N.J.S.A. 52:27D-301 et seq. and the Mount Laurel doctrine. Additionally, Mr. Mitchell represents both public entities and private clients in State and Federal Courts on complex matters from defenses of LAD and CEPA claims to contract disputes.

Mr. Mitchell earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Political Science from the College of New Jersey. He then went on to Rutgers Law School in Newark, New Jersey, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2024. At Rutgers Law School, he was a member of the Moot Court Board and Rutgers Business Law Review. Additionally, he served as a Civil Procedure teaching assistant, was the treasurer of the Jewish Law Students Association, and a Clinical Law Student for the Rutgers International Human Rights Clinic.

Prior to joining Antonelli Kantor Rivera PC, Mr. Mitchell served summer internships for the Honorable Esther Salas, U.S.D.J., and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office. He also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Avis Bishop-Thompson, J.A.D., in the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, where he assisted a judicial panel decide a wide variety of cases from complex commercial matters, to actions in lieu of prerogative writs, and a wide array of criminal matters.

In his free time, Mr. Mitchell enjoys watching baseball and football (admittedly as a suffering Cleveland Browns fan), playing with his family’s dogs, and reading science-fiction books.
