Kariah J. Johnson
Kariah J. Johnson is a litigation associate who brings a client-focused, results-driven approach to representing individuals and organizations in a broad range of civil matters. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Rutgers Law School–Newark in 2023, where she served as an Associate Editor of The Rutgers Law Record and was actively engaged in both academic and public interest initiatives. During law school, she was a Property Law Teaching Fellow in the Academic Success Program, a Maida Public Interest Fellow, and an Equal Justice America Summer Fellow. She also gained practical legal experience as a student attorney in the Education & Health Law Clinic.
Before joining the firm, Kariah served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Daniel R. Lindemann, J.S.C., in the Union County Superior Court, Civil Division. In this role, she gained extensive experience in civil litigation by managing a high-volume motion calendar, drafting legal opinions on a range of New Jersey statutes, assisting with court proceedings, and participating in dispute resolution and mediation.
Kariah holds an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University, which provides a foundation that enriches her legal practice with empathy, insight, and a nuanced understanding of complex interpersonal dynamics.
Outside of work, Kariah enjoys going to the movies, collecting vinyl, shopping for vintage clothes, and spending time with her two cats.
